Technical design of production facilities

The foundation for cost-efficient production processes is laid in the planning phase. In addition to GMP requirements, we are primarily guided by lean principles in order to optimise cost efficiency and GMP compliance in holistically thought-out production concepts.

The ideal opportunity to establish lean and efficient production processes is during the initial planning phase of new or converted production facilities. We work with you to develop the ideal production concept for individual departments or for your entire production site. To do this, we analyze production-related process requirements, evaluate the space and area requirements for incoming goods, production, quality control and storage/logistics and also calculate expansion options for further growth and upcoming changes. Naturally, we also take into account the opportunities and risks of outsourcing full or partial processes. At the end of our work, we produce a production layout with detailed specifications for the engineering office to ensure that the construction phase runs just as smoothly as later production. We are also happy to prepare an investment cost estimate as the basis for your initial business case considerations.

Design of production networks and footprint concepts

In production networks, we focus on streamlining the production processes of the individual locations in addition to increasing/decreasing capacity. Here we strive to  efficient use of the strengths of each location. We not only assess the capacities of personnel and equipment, but also include optimization potential at the interfaces, e.g. in material flows and communication processes, between the production sites. We use this data to create concepts for the long-term development of the individual sites in the production network. Our individually tailored, market- and practice-oriented concepts support organizational and investment decisions in order to use existing and future assets economically and sustainably.

Due diligence

In the context of mergers and acquisitions, we provide support in the technical, commercial and regulatory assessment of locations and production processes. Here, too, we use our holistic approach to take all relevant aspects into account in a balanced manner and provide a well-founded assessment.
