Dr. Hubert Bensmann

25 years of experience from various management positions at Aenova, Haupt Pharma, Baxter and Asta Medica are the basis for the foundation of Bensmann GmbH in May 2018. 

 

Vita and expertise
In particular, the company development of Haupt Pharma Münster GmbH under my management into a globally recognized CDMO for solids with highly potent active ingredients is a success in my professional career. Other relevant milestones include my work as a member of the extended Management Board of the Haupt Pharma Group with responsibility for Corporate Operational Excellence and as Senior Vice President for the TEG High Containment and Semisolida of the Aenova Group. I gained extensive expertise in the area of CDMO site management and in the area of project management for drug development and production of all common dosage forms. In addition, in the design of production facilities with holistic consideration of business management, product-specific, production technology, cGMP, lean and IT aspects. I have been successfully contributing this expertise to customer projects for more than 6 years.
I am a pharmacist with a doctorate in pharmaceutical technology. In addition I studied business administration with a focus on organization and leadership, business process and workflow management and strategic management.

Dr. Stefan Kettelhoit

More than 30 years of successful work in the pharmaceutical and medical technology industry form the basis for my expert knowledge, which I bring to Bensmann GmbH.

Vita and expertise
Various management positions for medical device, start-up analytical and GMP service companies round off my competence profile both in the area of QM systems according to DIN EN ISO 9001, 13485, 15738, EU-GMP Parts I and II, as well as in the area of non-active medical devices according to MDD/MDR.

I also work as a Qualified Person (QP) for companies.

Stages of my professional career are Bayer AG, Implanta AG (stents), Sepaserve GmbH (analytics), Blue Inspection Body (third party GMP audits), Herrmann Bock GmbH (medical care bed manufacturer) and freelance work for various life science clients like Gerresheimer Group (life science packaging materials) acting as EU-notified body, as technical expert and auditor. 

Numerous publications in PharmInd, GMP-Berater and other specialist literature are proof of my expertise.
I am a pharmacist with a doctor's degree in pharmaceutical technology. 

Anne Geißendörfer

With more than 20 years of experience as a pharmacist in various management positions at Haupt Pharma Wolfratshausen GmbH and several years as a freelance consultant in the field of conventional and biotechnological drug manufacturing, I am now part of the expert network at Bensmann GmbH.

Vita and expertise
As Production Manager and Plant Manager at Haupt Pharma Wolfratshausen, I was responsible for the production of solids, liquids and parenterals, with a focus on aseptic drug production. 
Since 2013, I have been advising and supporting various clients in the areas of quality management, regulatory compliance, audits, production transfers and process optimization. I also offer my services as a Qualified Person (QP). 
Through my work with large pharmaceutical companies and start-ups, I bring extensive experience in all areas of project management and outsourcing. I have deepened my management skills by completing an MBA (Master of Business Administration) with the Henley Business School (UK). 
By training to become a Certified Executive Coach (Henley Business School, UK) in 2022, I further broadened the services I offer.

 

Elisabeth Meimberg

During my more than ten years in the pharmaceutical industry at NextPharma and Haupt Pharma/Aenova, I acquired in-depth expertise in the areas of quality assurance, manufacturing, formulation development and production transfers.

Vita and expertise
Various successfully completed development and transfer projects at home and abroad were among the results of my work, as was the development of concepts for quality management systems and their implementation in everyday practice. 
From my many years of practical experience, I know the challenges of the pharmaceutical contract manufacturer as well as the diverse requirements of large international groups and generics companies. 
I have a degree in pharmaceutical engineering.

Dr. Hans Lindner

After almost 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, I am now part of the Bensmann GmbH network of experts.

Vita and expertise
I have spent my professional development in research and development in various companies and locations. These included Arzneimittelwerk Dresden, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Schwarz Pharma, UCB, Bayer and Nuvisan. For the longest time, I worked in GxP-compliant pharmaceutical development with a wide variety of active ingredients, dosage forms and products in all phases of development. Activities included scale-up, transfer, production and testing of drugs. 
In addition to pharmaceutical development, I have gained experience in the management of alliance and innovation management in research. 
Over the years, I have been able to expand my skills in strategy and change processes in various management roles, including mergers and relocations. Most recently, I was responsible for a project to carve out a large research unit into a CRO. As part of the transfer and set-up of the new company, I managed it as Managing Director.
I am a pharmacist with a doctorate in pharmaceutical technology. 

Marco Hacker

More than 25 years of successful work in various management positions at Helm AG, Torrent Pharma/Heumann Pharma and Desitin Arzneimittel GmbH form the basis for my expert knowledge, which I bring to Bensmann GmbH.  

Vita and expertise
My core competencies are turnaround management, organizational development, portfolio assessments, business development, supply chain & supply chain optimization, generic product development, launch management, tender management, marketing and sales of OTC and hospital products, as well as sales force management. 
The optimization of processes and business procedures, working with international teams, P&L responsibility and successful change management have been a major part of my previous activities as commercial manager of internationally operating groups.  
With the founding of Torrent Malta and various challenging product developments, I have conceptualized, operationally managed and successfully completed large investment projects within Europe. I combine technical competence with business expertise.  
I am a qualified wholesale and foreign trade merchant. I was also a narcotics officer, compliance officer and board member at the Medicines for Europe organization.

Dr. Christoph T. Berger

With more than 30 years of professional experience in management positions in development, production, quality assurance, and quality control of pharmaceuticals, I am joining the network of experts at Bensmann GmbH.

Vita and expertise
I have been working in the field of interim management / consulting projects for pharmaceutical companies since 2015. During this time, I have acted as a Qualified Person, represented managers in the areas of production, quality control and quality assurance and advised companies on the reorganization of their quality assurance system.
As a GMP expert, my focus is on optimizing processes in the area of quality assurance and managing relocation projects in pharmaceutical production.
I am a pharmacist with a doctorate in pharmaceutical technology. During my time at the Bayer Group, I deepened my knowledge of business administration as part of my training as a plant manager.

Peter Lehnhoff

With more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry and positions including Head of Operations in medical technology and Head of Development for pharmaceutical devices, I have focused on processes in the supply chain, particularly in medical technology. 

Vita and expertise
My focus is on the analysis and optimization of processes in production as well as in the supply chain. In change management, I can convince my teams of new processes, motivate and inspire them and thus lead the projects to success.
I am a mechanical engineer specializing in construction technology.

Dr. Patrick Bosché

30 years of experience from management functions in international companies in the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of development, production and quality management for active ingredients, solids and parenterals form the basis for target-orientated support, which I would like to contribute to your success through Bensmann GmbH.

Vita and expertise

The optimisation of products, processes and organisational structures with a strong market focus was the guiding principle of my management tasks at Bayer, Mepha (Ratiopharm production network), Fresenius, Riemser and Topmedicare. This was the essential basis for the growth in sales and earnings.
My target-orientated, pragmatic approach, taking into account business aspects, enabled rapid product developments and approvals of new products at Bayer and the CDMO companies, which also included scale-ups and technology transfers.
The sustainable optimisation of organisational structures led to streamlining and a reduction in throughput times at Bayer, Mepha, Weimer and Fresenius. The introduction of an MES system at Mepha also provided the basis for structured and transparent value-added processes.
I used my broad experience in greenfield and reorganisation projects to establish efficient company structures and also to obtain manufacturing authorisations in accordance with §13 AMG (German Medicines Act).
Based on my studies in pharmacy and my PhD in pharmaceutical technology, I work as a Qualified Person for active pharmaceutical ingredients, finished medicinal products and investigational medicinal products.

Dr. Hanns-Cord Walter

More than 30 years of successful experience in the pharmaceutical industry in management and executive positions at SmithKline Beecham, Desitin, Klosterfrau, Haupt Pharma Aenova and Catalent.

Vita and expertise

In my many years in the pharmaceutical industry, I have worked in medium-sized and large companies and in areas with different focuses. From development and quality control to overall responsibility in production and supply chain to managing entire sites with several hundred employees as Managing Director. The focus of my work in recent years has been on the strategic realignment of production sites, turn-around management, cost and process optimization as well as the reorganization and redesign of structural and process organizations. Heinz Schulte-Brochterbeck

After completing my degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Aachen, followed by a scientific position at the Jülich Research Center, I started working in the pharmaceutical industry in 1995.

Vita and expertise

At Pharbil Pharma in Bielefeld, I got to know the contract manufacturing business and the production, packaging and commissioning of various solid, semi-solid and liquid pharmaceuticals. In 1999, I left the company as technical manager to take on a new role as project and operations engineer in the field of aseptic filling and packaging of cytotoxic active ingredients. Sterile crystallization, freeze-drying and the use of isolator technology were the most demanding process technologies I was involved with here. In 2007, I moved to Haupt Pharma Münster GmbH to set up a plant for them in Malta, which was to process highly potent active ingredients using closed-containment technology. After the successful start of production, I also used this technology in a new facility for film-coated tablets and coated tablets with hormone active ingredients in Münster. In 2013, I became Technical Director of Haupt Pharma AG and was responsible for the Group's investment budget. After the Aenova Group took over Haupt Pharma AG in 2014, I left the company to make my expertise available on a freelance basis. My clients include large corporations such as Eli Lilly, Boehringer Ingelheim and Schott AG as well as small pharmaceutical and technology companies such as Bremer Pharma and Reuko. I have been part of the Bensmann GmbH network of experts since it was founded.
